There are so many facets that come together to make us the kind of people that can rock our jobs, love our students so fiercely, build a household and family, and still have passion left for crafty endeavors, spirituality, design, and relationships. It's rare for a teacher to ever truly be "off the clock". But on a snow day, teachers get a minute to sit back and actually focus on themselves. We can nurture all the other aspects of our life and fill our souls with what re-energizes us. For some of us, that's a craft or hobby. For some, it's designing a beautiful home environment. For some, it's just a long soak with the bathroom door closed, a glass of chardonnay, and a stack of our favorite magazines. Of course, even on a snow day, we can't help the fact that our students are still on our hearts and our classrooms and lessons are on our minds.
